About Us

A classic car with a Batman logo parked outside. — Flemington Elks
A classic car with a Batman logo parked outside.

On Route 31 in Flemington, the Elks Lodge has been the kind of place where a $10 fundraiser breakfast actually fills you up. Eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, pancakes, hash browns, OJ, and coffee, all served by volunteer members who show up because they want to, not because they have to. That breakfast for Hunterdon Central football raised real money for real kids, and that's the rhythm of this place.

The banquet hall is the anchor. Three configurations let it flex from an intimate gathering of 100 to a full-room reception for close to 300 guests. The parquet wood dance floor has seen wedding receptions, milestone birthdays, and retirement parties. The air-conditioned event space hosts indoor flea markets complete with a live band and a dozen vendors, the kind of Saturday that turns into an afternoon you didn't plan to stay for but couldn't leave.

This is a BPOE lodge, which means membership, community service, and fraternal bonds run the operation. Volunteer staff greet you at the door, and a 4.5-star rating across 92 reviews tells you they're doing something right. If you're looking for an event venue or a community to belong to in Flemington, NJ, the Lodge on NJ-31 is worth a visit.

What We Offer

The banquet hall seats up to 300 people and divides into three distinct sections, giving you full-room grandeur or a cozier two-thirds or one-third layout depending on your headcount. Weddings, quinceañeras, corporate dinners, school fundraisers, and memorial gatherings all find a natural home here. The parquet dance floor and stage setup make it a ready-made venue for events that need live music.

Beyond private rentals, the Lodge runs its own community calendar: fundraiser breakfasts, indoor flea markets with live bands, holiday parties, and Elks-sponsored charity events that benefit local organizations throughout Hunterdon County. Friendly volunteer staff handle setup coordination and are on-site during events.

Membership in the Flemington Elks opens access to the lodge's social programs, charitable initiatives, and the broader network of BPOE lodges nationwide. Whether you're booking the hall for a private event or exploring what fraternal membership looks like, the team at 165 NJ-31 is ready to walk you through your options.

"We attended a nicely air-conditioned indoor flea market / band / dance. The event space had about a dozen vendors, a stage for the excellent musicians, a parquet wood floor for dancing, & large round tables with chairs in the middle. Off the lobby were an attractive bar in a big room with lots of comfy-looking seating in addition to bar stools, and huge windows. This was opposite a kitchen offering pub fare. The ladies' room was spacious, very clean, stocked, & had a full length mirror. It was a surprisingly nice place given the exterior industrial look. Generous parking lot."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
